I was just thinking that it might be cool to have this option.
I know that vray can't do this "normally". But there was a trick in 3dsmax, where we'd add 3 instances of a refraction shader, layered together. One Blue, One Green and One Red. All with a small variation in their IOR value. The resut was a normal refraction with light diffraction. I guess the mathematics of light diffraction are much more complex than this, but it was a cool cheat.
I was wondering, would the current level of access you guys have to the core of vray allow you to have 3 diverging values of IOR ? (for each color)
It could be cool to simply have a "diffraction" input box next to the IOR input. :D
Then again, if no such control exist, never mind :D
