Just could not resist to test it ;-)

Object:
1 tree (2 objects) arrayed 8 times.
(360 000 polygons, leafs of trees not alpha, they have 260 000 polygons), the tree created by my friend - mentor, on second image you see Scene information for render 3 030 624 polygons.

Render setting
medium quality prepass from vray GI tab.
no saved IR or LC, all was passed in real.
Environment - Reflection env.override with gradient.
Light - standard Sun.
Antialiasing - AdapSub SincLanczos, Rates 0/2, Filter on(1.5), Threshold 0.1
Resolution output image - 2500x2500

PC:
AMD Sempron 2800+ (1,6 Ghz), RAM - 2.5 GB.
Cinema4D 10.506, Vray 1.05
To slow PC, so to big render time, but I watched House M.D. to episodes on it and one movie "12" ( still watch ;-) - (in duration of 2 hours of render) and in memory (Bat, AMP, USD, COMODO, Flashget, openoffice, firefox, totalcmd.)

in what trick .... ?

you want help in reducing time?.. i see that the time is maybe fine with your pc spec. and polygons..

nope ;-) i just want to figure Max number of polygons that vray can handle stable, so to know the limit for now (without proxy), so i could work with scene and know that scene will be rendered.

ps: no "dual" notebook, just simple acer ferrari ;-) )

for first look, it`s depends only of RAM size, i will need to test it on WinXp64 (for bigger ram use).
