Hi all,
after one day of testing I have to say, I'm totally blown away. My Vray editor testrenderings are the pics with the highest image quality I've ever seen within my C4D GUI. This renderer is insane. It does everything, it does it fast and with mindblowing quality. I pray that it does animation as excellent as stills than we'll switch to Vray immediately. We'll see. Back to testing.

e3Di - nice to see you over here as well! im asuming you also used Vray with max previously? - if so and if you wouldn't mind could you tell us how the cinema version compares to the max version? it would be interesting to hear from a users point of view any differences that are better or worse. I must say im very impressed so far with the speed/quality but i think its going to take some serious hours to work everything out!

Hi Stefan,
Aixsponza, right! Thanx a lot. And I love you're work you did with the VRay integration. I think it'll bring us C4d folks to a complete new quality level. The bridge is really great and as far as I can tell at the moment its done with the user in mind. A thing you cannot say about every renderconnection ;-)
A question though. At the moment I have bought one license. This is great for me editing and the farm rendering. But if we'll use Vray in the studio I'll need additional licenses. Nevertheless I already have all network rendering licenses. Is there something like a price reduced "bridge only" license or if not is there volume licensing?
Thanx in advance for your reply

hi Mnu
great to hear, thanks a lot:-)
you have unlimited net function for a free bonus with this license,
the price is actually for the bridge+vray main plugin.
so it needed a normal etxra license, hope you understand, we also have to pay chaosgroup a part and bring in the huge development costs.
cheers

Yes, that's totally OK. Only wanted to know, as FR offers this sort of things. I think the price is very reasonable. Nevertheless I have another request regarding licensing.
It really would be great if you could do somthing like a floating license in the future. For a studio it's quite limiting to have the VRAY licenses tied to a C4D serial number. It would be far more flexible if there is a license server in the network that allows for a certain number of users at the same time.

Hi aixmnu,
we are already discussing about a floating license in the future.
Anyway thanks for your suggestions and kind words.
Cheers
Daniele
