foam on sea?

Anyone got a clue on how to make a sea mat with foam in it. You know, those white ( and brown at the belgian coast) foamy stains between the waves ...

I've seen a tutorial for regular c4d materials somewhere. This foam has been made with a noise/gradient or fresnel in combi with alpha. Dunno exactly where it had been or what the settings had been.... had never use for it. Sorry.
