VRAYforC4D not working for me [solved]

Hello I have installed VRAYforC4D on my G4.

It seems to work correctly, but when i'm trying to view a VRAY material, C4D freezes and i'm not able to launch a rendering... C4D crashes...

Can anyone help :roll:

Well I can't really help you but I noticed a lag with vray materials compared to standard C4D materials and I reported this as well. For whatever reason vray materials seems to be more processor intensive.

Sometimes I have to wait several seconds for a material to be rendered (the little preview icon). Not sure what can be done about this but Renato knows about this issue and he will be looking into it.

The thing is that we need more people using a PPC G5 reporting the same or similar issue to track it down.

Can you render? If not it maybe a licencing problem..

which exact version of cinema do you have?

with 9.6 ppc we are investigating a problem and will give an update soon.
all others work fine.

be aware you need version 9.6 or 10.111 to rum vray, also check that please.

Hello everyone...

It's getting a little bit better now :-)

In fact, Yesterday I did not have installed the 10.111 update for C4D... This is now done. So now C4D doesn't freeze when i'm trying to view a vray shader, but the preview isn't showing (stays black).

And when I'm trying to render, nothing happens... I'm always having a black screen...

it's an Issue with the 9.6 and the PPC.
