3dsmax mat / max materials ?

Is there a way to get these converted for vray / c4d ?

I think the max materials cannot be converted being max materials, though we should be able eventually to use vray materials. well I belive that's what was said in that giant thread in CGforum.

okay, I didn't think so but then someone posted a link here for a site of user contributed max vray materials. That's what threw me.
