well, I've had an 8core for a long while now, and although this new one sports 3.2 GHz processors vs. my 3.0 GHz and a 12MB L2 cache vs. the old 8MB, I'm not sure I'll be updating quite yet.

The only thing I'm curious about is the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT, since I really dislike the Radeon X1900 I currently have.

Yeah - no great leap for those of us with existing 8-cores, but definitely a great step up for the other first gen Mac Pro or older!

The 8800 card looks like a potentially worthwhile upgrade though - just need to se some CB scores on that :)

I have the same card in my Mac pro and it's completely useless. :evil:
I cant see my self upgrading for another two years and chances are there will be a 16 core machine on the market.
