Hi.
I have just made a small speed test. The same scene, quite a complicated one - reflections, alpha, glossy reflections, displacement.
Rendered on 10.4.11 and 10.5.1, on 2Ghz DP PPC G5.
On tiger it was 8:16, on Leopard 7:06.
How about that ?:)
Cool, isn't it ?
Can't wait to buy Photoshop CS 3.

I haven't done any hardcore work with CS3 as yet (or any benchmark tests), but I can say that CS3 is snappier on Leopard than it was with Tiger. Opens up the application quicker, etc. and even more so with AE. Leopard itself seems to run real nice with the exceptions of some lock ups after my screen saver has been running for a long time. Doesn't seem to be a hardware issue but its not consistent enough of a problem for me to get too worked up. Spaces is the new feature that I absolutely love though.

C4D is running nice and stable. Can't wait for C4D to do a 64 bit Mac version. But again, we don't have the ram limitations as it is so whatever.

Anyways, I consistently see around a 5-10% overall increase in render speed with Leopard.

Cheers.

At the office I work on a Mac Pro 8 Core, but at home I have an old G4 Dual 1.25 PPC. It's almost time to upgrade but truth be told VRay speed and Leopard continue to make the machine relevant. It's my G4 that I find the most noticable difference between Tiger and Leopard. The Mac Pro has screamed since day one some render times have almost been irrelavent. It's the old G4 that I notice the improved performance of the OS. Only bad thing, the G4 is maxed out at 2GB of RAM...

Fortunately VRAY is not so RAM-consuming.
