Hi all:
I remake my old scene with Vray, the render time about 1hr01min with G5 2.5 Quad 2.5GB RAM, very high quality (IR+LC), 2000x1333 pixels, just setup one infinite light, it's really faster then C4D+AR render!
Over 5 hrs with C4D+AR render, and not too high value GI setup.

Very nice scene, with both engines! :)
Increase the interpolated samples to get rid of the blotches on the ceiling, in the Vray render.

Agreed! Both renders are great! If I had to pick which one I like more it would be the VRay render; simply because it "feels" warmer ... :)

Looks great. The chrome of the sofa legs is much nicer in VRay and the sofa is sat on the floor in a way it isn't in AR. Although that lovely displaced rug could be helping the Vray version.

I think too... the way of light distribution makes the vray pics more atmospheric and the light is moro "photographic" -almost like an unbiased renderer ... but much faster!

2 completely different images! That rug is making me want to take off the shoes and wiggle toes in it.
I vote for the Vray one easily. The flower, monitor and distant details seem sharper etc, even if they were exactly the same scene I still reckon the Vray one would come out on top.

It looks fantastic :)
Is the material of the rug a VrayMaterial? I assume that VRAYforC4D doesn't render HAIR, right?
Best regards,

Vray currently renders Hair that generate polygons, and soon (version 1.02) the polygon Hair shader as well.

The carpet use VrayMaterial with VrayDisplacement tag, have nice quality and very fast render speed then AR.
AR slower but easy to setup.:)
