My area lights render black with the Vray Light Tag

When I add the Vray Light Tag my area lights renderlike a black plane, what settings are wrong?

I think jorsua was not talking about that.
if an area light is within the field of view of the camera the back of the light is visible as a black square. a vray composite tag won't help either.

If the case is what Laurent said just check the invisible option in the area light tab of the VrayLight tag.

Yes I tried that also but it doesn't work some times. then I have to delete the light and start from scratch. I think there are communication problems between the light and the light tag (especially switching from one kind of light to an other in the tag), or the finer points will be explained in a manual update.
