Can you paint on VRay materials in Bodypaint?

Hi guys,

Been playing around with Bodypaint.

Can you paint on VRay materials in Bodypaint? I does not look so, because it all turns black when i use it?

i dont think so, vray is made for Cinema 4D

i have tried to make it 1st in normal materials and then convert it to VRay materials. Works well!!

Is there a specific function that will make it able for me to paint on the object with the tiled textues?
When i paint on it, the paint also tiles itself all over the textures and that's the last thing i want.

I just want to keep it tiled, but paint on the corners to make it darker...

Can i do this in BP?
