well,
this would not be a physical sun anymore. note that this is not just a normallight but a whole calibrated system.
this is the system vlado made for vrayformax. we have no influence on this, but find it very nice.
the only thing we could ask if vlado could implement a custom color option or a saturation adjustment.
but note this is no physical sky then anymore. itwould be more a procedual hdri. still helpfull maybe.
cheers

Also the original calibration of the c4d sun is wrong and vray seems to be taking its information off that. where i live it is currently still reasonably light at 7pm just now but vray/cinema renders things black. Not the end of the world but surely there must be accurate info for this type of thing. The fry render sky system seems closer to the mark IMO.

no vray doesnt read the color of the c4d, it uses vlados implementation.
p.s i also own 2 fry copies, we look into it.

so can we have the sun color any time soon? i know its not natural but i think its easy for you to make a color like the max version and like you did in shadow color although we dont need the shadow color we need the sun color
please guys do that in the nest update PLEASE STEFAN.
thanks
You can use simple Infinity Light with color of light.
Sun color depends of Height of Sun, that`s all, it`s very simple.
Stefan DON`T touch SUN Please we need you , it`s to hot ;-)

Really the intensity of Sun depends of the orientation of his Z axis. If Z axis is pointing towards bottom, you obtain a diurnal illumination. If this axis is oriented towards top, the illumination is nocturnal.
realy? It`s Vray-MAX text ?

hi guys,
there's no way to change the color of the Physical Sun (or it will not be physical anymore).
For your need just use an Infinite light source without the physical sun activated.

hey... in 3dsmax... sky in environment came from VraySky map that use Sun node.. it always usefull for everyone in 3dsmax until now...
but i don't know about environment in vrayC4d, what should i fill in its slot...
for now it's not a really big problem using physical sky... just take a look at physical camera, physical sun, lattitude, and height of the sun...and it's ok though really different like in 3dsmax methods :D
