¿Infinite light? [solved in1.05]

Infinite light is only possible like physical sun?

When i try to use a inifinite light, the result is the same whatever the intensity i use...

Yes, what's the reason for the Intensity option if it doesn't work with Infinite lights?

yep, I was a bit surprised by that too, fortunately you can make the light color almost black to dim if needed, or change the physical camera setings ISO and exposure, though, I dont think in vray you're going to get satisfying results unless you use it in conjunction with a HDRI dome.
There is apparently a philosophical adjustment to be made. I'm trying to adjust kicking and screaming ...

you can make any distant light to a physical sky/sun. just add a tag.

what dont you like in the physical sun?
But as said it is an extra option, you can just do it the normal way, use a normal light and an enviroment of your choice,
vray offers all.

i find the physical skyt one of the best around and highly realistic. dont forget to use colormapping and physical cam for best results. to be honest reading your comment s i think you have something wrong in your workflow. for what you dim the light when using physical camera?

I like sun a lot, but if i try to use infinite light, the result is the same whatever the intensity i use. It isn´t in a scene, it is in all scenes, i try whit 1 intensity, 100000 intensity and the result is the same. The conclusion is thta infinite light don´t work fine.

you can try whit a box, a plane and a infinite light...

you forgot the vray light tag:-)

i send yu the file back, now the infinite light works. all lights suchould have a tag, i also activated shadows in light tag.

Same here Pperezu, there something I don't understand. For a strait infinite light, no physical sun/sky, the slider isn't affecting the light intensity.

Yes, Intensity doesn't work in Infinite lights. It's the same ilumination setting this option at 0.01 and at 10,000.

yes the intesity was really broke in last version, in 1.05 it works again.
