it tooks a bit longer to get the update CD but now C10.5+V is running

cos of the new F-curves in C10.x I do not remove C9.6 from the farm
I run both versions as long the farm life to ensure a propper rendering

I've never worked with a render farm, but the day will come. I am working on a short animation movie for school and in some months it should be ready to be rendered.

Are you offering special prices for students?

Sorry was that 9.9 cents usd per GigHZ hour?

QuakeMarine1
02-09-2010, 03:54 PM
? what you mean blewis

@ all
I have notice different render results using vray 1.2 if scene is made in vray 1.1

due to that point I support both versions

--> its nessessary to update the Farminizer to workaround that issue !

just download the current installer form www and run it
we not made a new version release just for that little fix

jobs send from old Farminizer will use vray 1.2 by default
in case of problems contact me by mail

... but Rebus is faster.

Cian

Rebus 1500 frames ( 5min per frame ) Time = 0:47 / Cost = €555
Ranch 1500 frames ( 5min per frame ) Time = 2:48 / Cost = €116

I think I can wait the extra 2 hours.

Cian.

QuakeMarine1

the price is nice but you need to wait DAYS to get your job started
currently a job is queued 4 days !!
to get your job started sooner you need to put your job in higher priority but then you pay doubble and tripple

another point (if i am correct ?!?)
you pay all the farm even your job uses 20 pc only

Hi,

I apologize for intruding in your thread, but it is just to add a few corrections and precisions:
- on the RANCH each project always has all the nodes at its disposal, there is no sharing, so you pay exactly for what you use.
- The waiting list is currently long because it has a lot of non-urgent projects by members of our ViP club.
- The price for the higher priorities are respectively 3.4, 4.8 and 6.2 euro-cents per GHz-H.

Cheers

Fred

if my job uses 20 pc only all your other pc idle until my job is done without charge ?

VIP members have unlimited render for one year so they not care about render time
that leads to super long waiting times
I doubt someone of the normal users is able to render for 2 cents unless he is willing to wait days

anyway - users are smart enought to messure pro and contras itselfe

back to topic

we run a summer special and offer currently 75% discount
Price per ghz hour is low as 1,7 cent !!!

Do not hesitate to get advantage of this limited offer.
We prepared this special discount to get the 3D community familiar with our
comfortable system. At this price there is nothing you can do wrong :-)

more 300pc of 24cores and 24gbRAM are hungy!

I've tried and tried but I really dont follow this whole cent/ghz -pricing thingie. Dont even know how to compare between different render farms :(

QuakeMarine1
10-29-2011, 12:54 PM
ghz hour = a cpu of 1 core and 1 ghz render 1 hour = price

to be hornest its a bit more complicate but each farm should have an online costs estemator
just use that tools to compare and not bother with ghz hour
