Hi everybody,

I really hope someone can help me.
I'm desperately trying to make a crystal material that looks kind of like this:

I guess I have to model the bigger air bubbles. But is there any way of creating the noise that looks like the scratches inside without modelling it?
I would be very thankful if anybody had an idea.

short of a volumetric noise shader (does that even exist?), I doubt you can get something that doesn't look like it's just a surface texture, without modeling it.

is it actually air bubbles though? more likely, dust/dirt particles... not that it makes your situation any different.

i would make this with a refractive material where you use scratch maps and glossy maps for the surface

in the volume you could plece tiny airbubble that you give an air material.

not easy but definitly possible:-)
