Hope you enjoy:

watch design:

Control room: I had merely about 2 days and a weekend for 10 Highres images of this control room. originally 7000x5000 pix. Rendertime was largely lengthened by the etched glass on the 'aquarium' meeting room.
rendered about 22 hours for all. Barco logo is requested for publishing, sorry about that.

A recolored one, just for fun. I kinda liked it this way, customer would have disapproved I guess.

Geez. My brain is having a hard time convincing my eyes these are renders and not photos! I know they're renders, but.. Wow! Excellent work, especially the exterior images!

well, the buildings in environment are of course partially pictures, :?

thank you for your flattering comments :)

Did you do the compositing in Cinema or in post? It's just so seamless, it's hard to tell where the modeling starts and the photo images leave off.

compositing in post, but I spend quite some time to get the perspective absolutely right in C4D. There's been quite some comp. mask painting for the one but last picture as well. there's the concrete and glass windshield in front, bird statue, lamppost, walking people, they're all original picture. I'll post the original image later.

That's the one that really caught my eye. Sounds like a fair bit of work, but the results are stunning!

here you go.
a little explanation:
you can see the original pic, with the building in progress (I brushed the original sky to white, mostly by use of the select color range function in photoshop, and some of the building top was removed) the new sky with mask (original seaside sky picture, better suited for this pic.) and the building with mask on the right. I payd a lot of attention to masking All the original environment elements. People, statue, light bulbs, ... are witheld from the original pic. The people are hardly visible, but that's the way it should be, because they are not lit by direct sunlight. You'll see the colors of the building in progress do not match the rendered building. Client wanted a bit more 'light' for advertising.
Furthermore you could remark the 'reflection plate' I used for window reflections. This was taken from another typical 'Belgian seaside ugly balcony building' and tweaked for light match. you can see in the original plate that there are plenty of caustics reflections from opposite faced windows, so this street side was in full sunlight.

One difficult thing in these shots (see first post for the other examples) is that in wintertime we do not have any sun on the seaside buildings along the Belgian coastline. Customers often want a good visual in springtime, for advertising purposes, so they order in full wintertime, when the sun never reaches the facade of these buildings. :? Most annoying is that all the people walking the seashore are in thick wintercoats, with hats and gloves, ...... Go on, make me a nice and warm and inviting pic. (bikini style  )

I can see you now, standing on the beach, instructing all pedestrians to strip off their winter coats and smile for the camera. ;)

You did such a good job on the reflections, I hadn't even thought about those! This is a good example of why Masks are so important to learn. The amount of detail is overwhelming. Thank you for posting this!

haha, thanks for your comments.

there's no filtering in the watch image, just a white and a non-white area light (D65white) and a slightly out balance stage floor color R216 G226 B224.

thanks for looking.
