any comments that can help
It's nice, although I'd suggest some more light on the right side of the scene. The wooden floor is spot on.

Hi glass.use. Nice work.
I have tried to open your kind share but am getting "An error occurred attempting to expand 'My_Test.rar'. Format error." using the latest version of Stuffit Expander (usually .rar files are no problem). I am on Mac. Could you zip that file and post it?
Thanks.
problem with fur3.jpg file, so try to extract all files expect this one.

make the adabtive number like 0.001
Now, i add an area light to make the right side more brighter.
Then, i use the GI "High Quality" Preset.
Rendertime: 11m 14 sec.

nice :) could u share back the scene with area light cus i couldnt figure how to do it corrctly
for quick send, your can (hiro) place here this scene with only lights, and we with merge function merge it with our.
ok, here's the file, ONLY with the area light and the render settings!
tong, you will merge it?
http://www.digitalshapes.de/showroom/arealight.c4d
yes, everything fine.
glass.use remember merge arealight.c4d scene with yours, not reverse, or hiro`s setting in vray will be replaced by yours ;-)
glass.use why you don`t Untriangulate polygons of objects in scene and I sure don`t have path on my computer M:\04-VRAYFORC4D\04-TestScenes\rezip\02 ;-)

Thanks glass.use, the zip file worked. I will try it after work.
lol i didnt understand.
sorry about path not to you ;-) , to hiro?, he placed in Render Setting - Save path to save result file of image, but I don`t have that path on my computer, so Cinema says Error ;-) after rendering.
Selet Polygons objects than Functions-Untriangulate:

After

tong, yes this was my renderpath! sorry, i forgot to delete it.
but this should not be a bigger problem!

Tong, so, quads are better than tris with Vray?
Fluffy
09-25-2007, 05:13 PM
No, I think everything is converted to tris anyway, but it's a lot easier to make sure that the geometry is correct (which is a sensitive aspect for Vray).
