Installation Problems [actually email porblems-needs key]

Hello,

My company purchased vray and the IT guy at work installed it but it doesn't work. I'm thinking maybe he did something wrong so I tried to I look in the manual and it tells me to follow the instructions in the readme.txt file that came with the download. However I never received such a file. When I unzip what was sent all I get is a key.

I'm not getting a license error or anything it just doesn't show up under the effect tab in the render options.

Theres a picture manual with the download.
but heres the steps in it.
just copy the dll files in the cinema 4d main folder (with the key).
and copy the VrayBridge to the cinema 4d plugin folder.

since you use Windows system it might ask you for these 2 files also:

and it will work.

if theres a problem or error or it doesnt show up, your key might have a problem. so contact stefan.

In my Maxon\Cineme 4d R10 directory I have the following files:

vray.dll
Vray_READ_ME.rtf
vry_stuff.dll
VrayBridge.key

In the Plugins folder I have the VrayBridge folder.

When I launch Cinema and go into my render options, Vray Bridge isn't listed under as one of post effects. Starting to feel frustrated.

Am I missing something?

in the cimena's root folder you should also have a libmmd.dll and a cgauth.dll

I checked and I also have those file you listed. Also I have MSVCp60.dll

Did you start the "Cinema 4D.exe"? Not the 64Bit version!

Yes, and it's still not working. I can vray bridge load in cinemas startup screen but when I go under effects tab and try to add it, it doesn't show up as an option. I have cell render, highlight, depth of field, object glow and so on. Am I looking in the wrong place?

i wrote you an email back to your email today, sorry i havet got any mails before from you or your it manager.(we must test mails from you then as i answer all mails i get)

yoi muts have some wrong in installation, or the key does not fit your serialnumber.

if all ist correct vray will run then, it does for many hundred others:-)

hi vidar,
there seem to be a problem with your email, all mails i write you are bounced back by your provider or spamfilters.
please make sure you can recieve emails emals from the domain "vrayforc4d" and "laublab.com"

yes it shows that the key is not fitting your c4d version.
please check as i wrote you, did you get my answer email this time?

it seems that there where some email probs with you before so you seem not to get all my mails.

p.s. i think this clears now up:
you have paid for 2 licenses, but only send one cinema4d serial to us,
so you got one number and tried to intsall this on the machine where you havent a key file yet.

i am now in contact with Clark from your firm and wrote him to send us the second serial so we can make you the 2nd key:-)
please verify if you recieve this email. i am not sure you get all.
otherwise make sure you can recieve emails from the "vrayforc4d.com" domain. check spamfilters etc.

please check your mail system or with your provider- you seem to have a problem with getting emails!

i am trying to send you emails and also clark green, but from your answers i see that some you didnt get. sometimes provider tend to filter emails wrong or sometimes spamfilters are set to strong.

we cannot help you when we cannot send you emails.

you have forgotten to send us the license for the second c4d version.
clark green said he has the first running, but i need the second c4d serial to make you the second vray key:-)

please verify/solve your email problem and contact me.

We have been trying to send you emails with the second license for several days but our emails aren't getting through to you. The come back as undeliverable. Clark tried last week several times. I tried over the weekend and still don't get a response from you. Is there another way to contact you?

Not your fault by any means, but all this back and forth is starting to get out of control :D Hopefully we can clear things up soon.

it seems that your provider has some email problem, the mails i send you get bouced back. as we have no back boucing i think it is your provider.

anyhow to the gmail adress it seems you get my mails.

i have send you the 2nd serial, the one with 1001...that clark send is correct.
tehone yous till use on your c4d system starting with 1003...is only the temporal serialnumber from c4d, please tell clark to register your c4d version with the final number(1001....) then also the key i send you works.

maybe please post me here an email that is working for you, some from you i get others not, mots i send you are blocked by your provider. we then store this working email as your permanent contact mail. or maybe ask your provider why he is not allowing emails from or to the domain vrayforc4d.com.

This problem has been resolved.

I want to publicly thank Stefan for his patience and his excellent customer service in helping us resolve this issue. Especially since the error was all on our IT departments end in not fully understanding the installation process. This is great product and Stefan is a rock star!
