Good Morning,

I think, there a lot ArchiCAD Users overhere: Did someone work with CADimage Tools?

It looks very promising to me, to add more Details to a CAD Model:

Somebody who can tell something about it?

Wow. This looks great.
I would also like to hear peoples experiences with this plugin.
This could help a lot with my next project.

Cian.

Yeah i've tried the accessory tools and the profiler - both are useful however the accessory tools doesn't have a standard tile/slate in the roof accessories, only things like spanish tiles which is a bit odd! I have suggested to them that this would be a good addition so hopefully they will include it in the next version.

The profiler is also pretty cool but i've only done a quick test with them, def worth trying the demos.

Cheers

i did a little test too, and the additional things for walls are great too. the roof tiles didnt work for me, but i think it was a mistake by me. Are you using ArchiCAD 11? There you have the Profilmanager, so i think it does the same job as the CADimage Tools "Profiler". Is that right?

Hi guys,
I use the tools almost exclusively and they are great. The roof generated give you a great deal of flexibility with the tiles, not just spanish but slate, profile, corrigation and colorbond/ribs. The wall tools are are also good but they are experiencing a few issues with the ArchiCad material translater that they are trying to fix at the moment ie lots of materials created from the one object.
If you can work within the Archicad environment and the profiles etc that are supplied, you can create lots of detail quickly and easily.

Wokka: Yeah the roof tool is cool but have you found a flat tile preset - all the ones i can see are shaped in some way. I have suggested the inclusion of a flat standard tile on their forum and they said they would put it in if there was enough support. One guy has backed me up on this but perhaps if you guys could also back the campaign then maybe we can get it into the next update :D

Hiro: The profile tool is much better than the standard complex profile tool in archicad as you can input a z co-ordinate in along the path so you not restricted to either linear walls or annoying distorting raked beams. It's much more flexible and you can adjust the end cutting angle.

Rhodesy,
Cadimage have always been pretty good at implimenting things that are requested. I see you've started a thread on their forum and I'll back on more flexibilty on the tile types. Maybe you can expalin the difference between a slate roof and a flat tile to them (and me?). In Oz we mostly used profiled concrete tiles and good old corrigated iron for domestic dwellings.

Cheers

Cheers guys for backing the campaign! I have posted this example in the cadimage forum so hopefully it is the same as you were thinking and that it is easy to impliment.
