It's very important feature for the detail control, hope it can add in the feature.:)

yes please!
this seams a no brainer. we have the best GI renderer, but you can fine tune the GI for objects? that's pretty important i think.
thanks!

why not only set the channel multiplyer above 100...i think this will do the same :?:

for example: a building wall surrounded by grass the whole building as a green tint. the white balance trick won't do,it is already taking care of an other problem. the simplest would by to be able to tone down the strength or the color of the GI radiated by the grass.
Thanks

Excuse my ignorance, but isn't that "the old" way of thinking? Like we do in Cinema to compensate for our color luminance.
If the grass is so bright that it makes the wall to green, isn't the material settings wrong in the grass to begin with?
Just thinking out loud, but isn't Vray "just doing what it is told", being a physical correct engine?
Cheers

you're may be right, I think some flexibility wouldn't hurt.

no. in theory yes, but in practice no. i too would like fine control over a particular materials gi properties.

if possible we will add this, but i cant say if the vray engine allows this.
lets see.
for good realistic rendering you should not use it, but i see some want it, so i put it on the list.

The vRay Override Material is a good possiblity to have a little bit more control over these points. Wouldn't it be better to use that instead of figuring how to fine tune materilas? At least for the beginning? Of course everyone should become familiar with the Vray Shading System, but it would make life easier I think.

override materials in maxvray is for makling all white or grey p.e.
this is good for setting up your light.
cheers
