I hate inundate with questions about installs. But I'm really excited to start using Vray, and it won't work!

I have the VrayBridge.key file installed in <Applications> I believe this is the "root folder". I tried it under just the MAXON folder, and that didn't work either. It's only a 4kb file. As far as I can tell, I have it installed exactly how it's supposed to be.

Any insight would be great. The install instructions are less than thorough. (But the install itself, seems less than complicated in and of itself.)

I am running a Mac 3GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon, with Leopard and C4D v10.5

Thanks-
Brian!

stick it in the same folder as the Cinema4D application...

ie... Hard Drive-Applications-Maxon-Cinema4D

That's what I thought, and that's where it is. But it's still not being recognized.

install is normally very easy, juts run the installer:-)

but sometimes on osx following can be:

1) permissions: osx sometimes makes problems with bad permissions, make sure to set all permission for the whole maxonfolder and all suboparts to read and write. worst case do a reapir permission with the osx disk, apple provides a tool for this known problem in osx.

2) vray needs c4d to be installed on the main disk(where also osx is) in the application folder

if you have both of this it runs 100%

the keyfile juts place in the cinema4d folder(thats the root)

cheers
stefan

p.s if it still not runs make sure you run it on the coirrect cienam4d serial, you can see that under the c4d console window(press shift F10), maybe you registered with an temporal number by accident? that happened to some users. in that case you must write us an email...
