i think that doenst work, edge shade hacks into the ar.
it is no normal shader.

chris might updat it to be compatibel with vray but that is up to him.

in the meantime:

for simple wires try paul`s wireshader. at least for me (10.111) it works.

for softshade:
ChamferMaker Generator
