It seams that every test scene that has been provided uses a strong amount of sunlight coming in for GI. this is not the typical need for me, and i am wondering if someone has a sample scene with some area lights, IES lights, etc for use.

that would be extremely helpful to probably a few people

thanks!

hi, you could also still use the scene with sunlight and set the sun time at 1AM for example, you'd still keep the GI setings that way without having that strong amount of sunlight... anyway that shouldn't be that hard to set up...
if you've got some geometries in which you'd like me to put ies or aeras in...

sun light is not needed of course, ut is optional.
we just showed that because sunlight is extremly hard for gi and vray makes it very good.-)

just place your lights as they are in reality. spots, lamps etc. try to give them realyworld values(watts, lumen, ies...) and it will look very real.

and of course you can mix sun and other lights, they are also calibrated together.
