Hi,

I just downloaded the installer for R11 of VRay. However I don't get far...
I have the license key in the root folder of C4D (OS X) and I start the installer. On the third screen I am presented with available disk volumes. Al these have the warning sign indicating no installation is possible.

When I select the drive containing my R11 folder a message shows up: "You cannot install VRay for Cinema 4D on this volume. A newer version of this software already existst on this volume." But obviously that's not the case...

I have checked and made sure that the old C4D Release is not seen and, since it's OLDER, should not have problems in the first place.

Is there an installation guide?

I managed to solve the same problem.
I deleted every vrayfile and reinstalled it again.
After that everything shows up where it should.
But....

I tried to build up a new material the way i'm used to.
After the rendering all I could see was the cube like it is used to see without any texture.
So I gave him a arrowwaymaterial but the effect was the same.

Don't know what to do further.

I have found the answer!

In the new R11 you need to 'add' your plug-in differently in the render settings.

I think you did the same as I did: go to render settings and under effect add the VRay Bridge. Then nothing happens...

What you should do is go directly to render settings and in the TOP under 'general' select VRayBridge. This will do the magic trick!

Let me know if that works for you too...
