I have learnt a great deal from everyone that has taken the time to post some of their work for others to play around with.... so I figured its time for me to repay the favor...
The scene below is something I have recently been working on... and before people get too critical please bare in mind I am self taught (both C4D and VrayforC4D) and I normally only get about a day to produce visuals... but in this case I got a day and a half.
Sooooo.... my challenge is:
Can you improve on what I have done?... better lighting? better camera angle? better render settings?...possibly a bit of DOF? make it look more realistic and less CG? It would be great to see what other can do... and what advice you can offer.
p
(also if someone could let me know how to insert images and links in a more beautiful way it would be appreciated :))

Hi photek,
maybe I will have time to "re-work" on your scene at the beginning of next week, but hey for less then one and a half days it´s definitely a good job....
And for your picture problem....try this

131 downloads on rapidshare... and not a single scene posted back?..
not even a flippant remark telling me my scene is crap :)

I think for a day & a half, your image looks very good.
Crits:
The sofa sectional in the foreground needs to be smoothed or subdivided more, since it's showing some faceting.
The exterior environment is blown out, maybe a trip to Photoshop to fix.
The lamp table to the left looks like it's balancing or floating on the edge of the throw rug.
BTW thanks for sharing your scene.
Hi photek,
after making such big sounds I thought it´s time to really work on the scene. Yesterday evening I found the time to play....
First of all I really recommend you to get used to a more structured way of naming and grouping your objects :-) it was quite difficult to find things at the first.
Second you should try to set your axis where you need them, therefore you wont have so much problems with flying objects.....
Third you should take the time to look into the geometry and use the optimize and untriangulate commands to clean the models a little bit...
After I didnt know what was the goal you had to reach I only changed the dimensions of the room a little to give the furnitures a bit more space.
There is no postwork done and I will see if I can go further on the following days or even tonight, so consider this as a WIP and don´t be to rude with critics.

Hi Semi... nice... I like it... :) but it feels a little cold.. (especially as the people that are buying the interior come from a very hot country :))but the level of gloss on the floor is nice... and your view point is better than mine...
I take all your points about floating objects... thanks...
as for the room... its in a block of apartment... so the size is fixed... I wish architects would design better proportioned apartments... story of my life as an interior designer I am afraid.
thanks again for your time...
would you post your scene so others can see what you have done?
Hi photoek,
seems the whole thing ends in a dialogue ;-)
I rescaled the room so that the width matches to the original.
Glad you like my tryings...and as you see I tweaked a little to get a warmer mood...but I´m sure people in warm countries don´t want to have the feeling that they will sweat in their new appartement ;-)
Interesting to know you come from the same background as me and hope to see some more projects from you.

I will upload the scene tomorrow, maybe there is really someone out there who needs it.

Hi Semi, would be more than happy to share work/models/textures ect... anything to learn a bit more about C4D and VrayforC4D.
Hows the Interior Market in your part of the world? Noticing the Credit Crunch yet?

Hi Semi.
I just came across your conversation. As I'm very interested in learning how to light interiors and as the rapidshare link seems to be down I would be very happy if you could share the scene with me.
Cheers
