in the environment tab, we have the ability to add textures to the background, gi, reflection and refraction channels, but the mapping types (other than frontal) are so very limited and un-usable.
you can locate a map up/down/left/right, but you cant resize, tile or accurately position anything like you can in the object manager.
can this enhanced please?

is there a way to actually see the map we put in the enviroment-backround before the render ?
I can't do it, and everytime I want to rotate the map, or change the multiplayer, I have to do a render, fix it, another render, another fix and so on.....
and another one - If I use lwf (filter in every material with gamma 0.45), do I have to put the filter in theenviroment as well ....

at the moent there is no way to show that in the c4d background. yo you have to test render fast.
and yes for lwf you shoudl also use filter in this textures

ah gotcha. i'll try that in the morning. Just wish Tong would give more than his usual explanationless replies. would save more questions and posting. ;)
