This is not all down to the GI settings. A nice scene relies much more on a good modeling, composition and accurate materials.
As for the GI settings, just choose the high quality settings in the GI tab, it fits most scenes.

actually you dont need high settings to achieve that.
just use irmap -3/-1 and brute force

leave AA to as it is or maybe up it to 0/2 or 0/3(for adaptive subdivision)

thats it

One question : where is the option to re use your last caculated irradiance map ? cause i keep the camera at the front of my image but im trying to get a good angle for the sun.
recomputing the irradiance map everytime takes too much time

at the option "on renderend" set a save path before rendering. after you rendered set the gi to "from file" and set the same path there.

I am not sure I understand. We can reuse the IR map even though the lighting is being adjusted and the camera is fixed? If that is in the manual, reference please.

Thanks.

no thats a missunderstanding.

the light you should not adjust after saving gi.(it is possible but not full correct then of course)
what you can do in most cases is change the camera abit or change a material slightly.

the ir map can deal with changed cam angles. you can also use the "add to current map" you can also change the angle to a bigger degree.
so you can have one irmap that works for several cameras- very nice thing.

overall the vray irmap is extreme flexible:-)
