Hi all the Vray bridge looks great. Just started to play and have a few questions.
1) What is the process to get an area light working? I created a light put the on a Vray tag and it doesn't seem to work. A omni works (although it seem to require a very high multiplier)
2) How do you get a glossy reflection with a Vray material?
3) Bug, the Fast preview LC preset has a very high LC subdivision setting of 50000. Should be much lower maybe 500 or 1000.
4) Bug? Vray material previews take a very long time.
Thanks,
-Shane

Use a An area light with an Vray lighttag
you should disable No decay and then you can turn on the area light like a physical light best is to work in realworld values like watt or so
all controls are in the tag don't use the ones from c4d
glossy reflections
use a specular channel for that
turn the specualr on and set the trace refelctions option It#s on by default
then there are two parameters on sliders
Highlight glossiness>> controls the highlight
Reflection Glossiness >> controls the glossiness turn the slider down
if you use the lightcache you can use the option in the Lightcache rendersettings x use Lightcache for glossy rays
glossy matterials are slower than non glossy ones
matpreview should work fine depends on your processorspeed

Thanks guys, I got the Glossy reflections working but still cannot get the area lights to work. Could someone post a super simple sample scene? I also have a few more questions.
1) How do you get motion blur working with a camera? I can get objects to blur but not the camera.
2) Can you use the Cinema Sky system with Vray?
3) Is the global material override possible with this version? If not will it be in a future release?
The region render feature is awesome! This is something Cinema needed a long time ago. So far it is looking very good.
Thanks,
-Shane

lighttag is needed

I have tried your suggestions and every other combination I could think of and still cannot get this working. Once I add a vray light tag it renderes black, turn up the intensity still renders black. Any ideas?
Thanks,
-Shane
