It will be great like in AR3 that when you choose Vraybridge in render dialog box the autolight become off automatically :)

The auto light has no affect on the vray render whatsoever.
Just rendered one image with and one with out the auto light and compared them in photoshop. Same ding dong.

confirmed with other 2. when i render from fresh in vray it's black, unless these an element in it effecting light in some way. it's certainly not the autolight.

yes autolight is OFF with intention, so you dont get into troubles when you have left it on by accident.(happened to me often in AR)

if you have some light on, maybe you have saved a layout or default start scene where you have an enviroment or a light already in your scene?
