Sorry to hit you with a problem on "VRAY Day", but I am playing and ran into a snag.

It appears I have VRayForC4D installed right; I see the parts in the MM, assign Tags in the OM and can adjust the camera in the AM. Also, I accessed the Render Settings>Effects>Post Effects list. But, I must be doing something wrong.

I set up a simple scene with lights + VFC tag, camera + VFC tag and C4D material. When I selected C4D>MM>File>VRay Material, a blank material appears and then I get the spinning beachball and must "Force Quit".

If I click on Render in Picture Viewer, I get the spinning beachball and must "Force Quit".

If I click C4D>Plugins>Vray Material Converter, I get the spinning beachball and must "Force Quit".

Again, I am sure it is me.

Thanks and it is awesome running C4D, VRayForC4D, Vray on my machine. Wow!

Edit: I am using primitive cubes, made editable, in my scene.

By me it render perfectly, no need to force quit. Just your settings are a bit strange because the render is black... you have to change your settings (I put a new primitive light set to 500% and I see something).

Becasue I don't know all rener settings, I'm new to Vrc4d, I can't understand where is your mistake... try to modify the light of your documents.

Idem for the VrMC everything work fine, no crash or need to force to quit.

This afternoon I will try on a Intel Machine, I've tested it on a G5 machine now...

Edit: Stefan posted on the C4D cgtalk forum that C4D R10.1 must be installed. I have R10.008. Off to Maxon.

Hi jddog,

Thanks for testing. VFC is bombing when render button is clicked so, yes the settings are probably strange because I do not get very far.

I am guessing that I have a license problem since all the VFC parts are in the right location (see my last post here: http://www.forum.vrayforc4d.com/viewtopic.php?t=41).
