Hi guys, first attempt with VRay, we want to use it for a lot of product work so I have tried to replicate a real studio setup with 1m soft boxes and bounce boards on a scoop. Had a few problems with area light power (a 250W softbox should produce about 5000 lumens but that hardly lit the scene at all so I had to set them to 120000 - working in cm units, with the lights about 1m away, or is the lm power setting not lumens?) Anyway the model is lacking some detail as I haven't had time to add a displacement map but I am fairly happy with the result. Any comments/crits would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
James

hi! i've been asking myself: is there any automatic way of displaying the render time in the image or you do it by hand?

Menu Render - Render Settings - Effects - VRayBridge - Options -

Miscellaneus options - Stamp Vray informations.
