Student Version

I read something about a student edition on cgtalk from lllab, and nobody answered my email about the student Edition so i'll ask here so everybody can get some information about it.

If there will be a student edition some day

- what will it cost
- what are the regulations / restrictions (non comercial etc.)
- when will it be available

It's very pricey if you've got to buy it for study.

I keep watching the images being posted and I'm totally tired of waiting for my student version of MW to render anything out...it takes forever!!!

I can understand the economic advantage in NOT doing a student version but if Stefan has said there will be one the least we could do with knowing is when that might be available.

the edu version will come in next days. we need to finalize the proof system.
it costs 295.- euro+tax (in eu).

Thanks 4 the info, Stefan, but even ~66% off is still quite a lot of money for a student *sigh* It's a pity I won't be able to get this great plug :/

the price is made by chaosgroup, it comes from the price structure+ the plugins costs.

Yeah, makes sense.
Perhaps in 10 years, it will be cheaper for students... but then I surely finished study (passing this summer) and hopefully have the full :)

there is Education so it for University or colledge or some Academic school for CG
