if vray does not load on your fresh installed vista or xp you miss some important microsoft updates.

it is very easy to update windows through teh MS updater,
the only tricky thing is to get really ALL MS updates;-)

once you have an uptodate XP oro vitsa vray 100% loads.

ypu csan also shorten this in installing these libaries from microsoft:

Also as i missed last time you'll need .NET for it to run which isn't exactly a normal update Windows does install on it's own.

.net is not needed.
if one does all updates you get all you need. or the libaries up there, then you need not do all updates from MS.
