10.5 using xref - crash![xref not yet supported]

this is the error message I get when I try to render a simple scene containing xref:

I used a simple scene with only Vray sun and physical camera and one xref object.

Can someone confirm that xrefs cause a crash? Or has someone been able to render a scene with xrefs?

I've uploaded a simple scene file with Vray Physical sun+sky, physical camera an Xref (test-scene.c4d).

The Xref file (test_xref.c4d) contains a cube with a vray material with only a tile shader.

When I load the test scene and render with Vray, C4D crashes imediately.

Can someone on osx please confirm if this is the case?

I would also be curious to know if the same scene works on windows.

P.S. Not all xrefs causes a crash, but in the cases where there is no crash, the textures of the xref have disappeared and the render only white. I will create a new thread to deal with this seperately.

Yup, crash. Just opened, re-linked you xref file and hit render.

"Application Error caused by plugin 'LibVray_Node.so' "

This was on a MacBookPro (Intel). I can check on a PPC tomorrow.
