Hello,

I'm sure this subject has been beat to death but I can't find an answer searching the forums (probably missed it) so here goes:
I have had Vray running on 32 bit but can not seem to get it up of 64bit.
I have the correct install and all the updates installed.
When I start C4D 64 bit I can see it initializing Vray but there is no Vray listed in the plugin menu.
What am I doing wrong.

Thanks

what OS?

for XP, Vista you need separate vray=cinema folders for 32 and 64 bit
since they have similar by name but not by content files

I'm using Vista 64 bit. I only have the 64bit version installed, unless I missed something. I'll try again.

make new folder copy to that folder your cinema4d folder, and install in it vray 64bit version
then run Cinema4d64bit.exe

I only have the 64bit version of Vray installed. Are you saying I need to make a completely separate folder for 64 bit C4D? I'm sure this must be simple but it's got me confused. :)

I think my problem is with understanding this is language.
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to:

1) make a new folder for 64bit C4d and copy all the C4D 64bit files then install 64 bit Vray in that folder.

OR:

2) Make 2 separate folders in the C4D plugin folder. One for 64bit Vray and one for 32bit vray.

Which one?
After reading all the posts I'm still not sure.

That didn't work either.
Actually that is pretty much how I had things to begin with. C4D was just in it's original folder. (Program Files (x86)\Maxon\CINEMA 4D R11)
Copying it to a new folder and the reinstalling Vray 64bit made no difference.
It still shows as being initialized when C4D starts but does not show in the plugin drop down.
This is really crazy.
There is NO 32bit version of Vray anywhere on this system the only version installed is the 64 bit version of Vray.
Unless I need to remove all the 32bit Maxon files. But that's insane.
Is there a document that shows EXACTLY what the directory structure for this needs to be?

Damn! Yes it does. That was not there before so that's an improvement. :)
I copied the key I was sent with the 1.1 Vray email but it still shows wrong key. I don't know why I need a new one.
Thanks for getting me this far.
