Can anyone confirm that Vray 1.1 does not work under Windows 7 RC ?
The installation works, the plugin is shown as loaded in the C4D-start-sequence but doesn't show up later in the render-dialog and does not work, meaning vray 1.1 is finally not loaded within C4D under Windows 7 RC (in my case the 64 bit Win 7 and C4D-versions).

why it must?
 :?:
Because Win 7 is the upcoming new OS. 8)
Think you heard about this, don't you ?
All other C4D-Plugins and 3rd-party-renderer seem to work under Win 7-64 bit, except Vray.
So I think this question is reasonable.
yea i heard about vista2;-) i think when it will be released it will be supported but for now it`s Windows 7 RC ;-)
and no, w7+c4d+vc4d not worked for me too

Thanks Tong.
Well, the strange thing is, when I start a XP-64 bit-C4D (from a 64 bit XP partition on my multi-boot system) under Win 7 RC_64 bit , then Vray works fine.
It only doesn't show up in the native Win-7 Installation.
But started with a XP 32 or 64 bit C4D-version from a XP-Partition, it works under Win 7.

yes actually it would work.
we will of course test it more before win7 comes out. but i also heard from several users using it on win7.
maybe you miss some of the needed c++, or net libaries on your win7 beta.
cheers

I'll check it, Stefan.
But as I already posted, it works when I start C4D in Win 7 from my XP-Partition.
But I will install C++ in the next days as well and check it.
Btw., might Win 7 be 'only' Vista 2.0 or not, I like it.
It works fine and stable on my multiboot-system and I think I will migrate totally to it when the final release is out.
The lack of speed compared to XP is only marginal, but it has some very usefull Desktop-features.

i also plan to move from vista to win7 as fast as possible ( on my win machines).
vista i dislike, but from what i have seen win7 is a bit better again. they borrows some more from osx;-)
