stop and resume rendering

is it possible to integrate a stop and a resume button into the picture manager?

imagine: i start render, when i have nothing to do, but can stop renderprocess, when i want to work or render something else. after that i can resume the previous renderjob...

now i solve that with renderng regions and composing all together in PS

Once a render has started you can not set it on hold and render out anohter scene.
You could use the batch render option In the manual you can find how to use it.
