Is possible that we have a material converter, even in a simple way?

Paste and Copy the desired objects with mattags on in a new file and convert then the material
because the Converter convert all not Vray materials
so you have some control
and can remove not used materials
without losing some Materials by mistake!

you can also just activate the material you want to convert in the material manager.
then only those activated get transformed.

the material converter gives a rough approxomation and transports all textures & shaders into the vray material

seams to me that the converter makes it so that if you are using analpha channel, you must reverse the alpha channel after conversion.

yes vray needs colors differnt for alpha(is like in max)
you can use the colorizer or a layershader to invert textures or shaders.

any idea how to get 2 materials to show on an object? i can't seam to get a logo with an alpha channel (weight channel) to plop onto a surface. when i go to flat map i can't even see the map thing that i usually see.

take a look at this simple scene to explain how to use 2 mat on an object. It also shows up how to use a colored background that not affect GI (requested in an other thread).
