Hi All,

When you have an object and you want to add a stick texture tag, vray won't render it correct. I've made an eye with a ff deformer and therefore I need to add a stick texture tag to the eye.
When the stick texture tag is active it won't render the pupil. When I deactivate the stick texture vray will render the texture correct.
I think this is a bug.... Or is there a work around?

Yes, I think I already reported the issue. Not really a bug if I remember well, just not supported at the moment.

Your only workaround is to unfold the UVs and set your texture to UVW mapping (or set it to spherical or however you set it with the parametric projection, then generate UVW coordinate from this projection).

Thanks Fluffy.
But does this work with animations too? If the object is deformed within the animation, the texture won't stick to the object.
I hope the vray team will solve this problem.. :)

Yes, that's the whole purpose of UVW coordinates, it links the map to the UVs, which are in turn linked to the mesh. So everything deforms fine when animating.
You are modeling a character, right? How come you never used UVW mapping? :)

P.S: If you need help unfolding or generating UVs, send me your eye model, I will do it for you.
