license query

these may be a stupid questions, but i can't seem to get an answers anywhere else, so bear with me.
1. do i need to upgrade to cinema 4d version 10.5 for the vray plugin to work (we have version 10)?
2. Our cinema 4d is lisenced for 4 machines, will the plugin work on all 4?

No, you don't necessarily need to upgrade to 10.5 (although, 10.5 has some neat features - xrefs, for example - that are great when working with a team).

As for licenses, you will need one Vray plugin per license, unless you want to use only one machine, and use the rest for Net Render.
But if you want to run Vray on all machines (to create scenes and so on), then you'll need a license for each.
