Im evaluating this product and your website said some 'mats' and other things are disabled in the demo,, (and of course there are the watermarks),, I wonder what these other limitations are more specifically?

beside watermark,
no special materials like2 sided(thin sss), beldmaterials, override material,
no proxies, no netrender to name the most important.

as it is not time limited we had to limit some functions.

cheers

thank you for the quick reply!

I find it very easy to use, though it seems like it's got a lot of depth, Vray,

btw, proxies, do you mean instancing?,
do vray use volumentric instancing perhpas, somewhat like Vue? I hear it can handler scenes with billions of polys!?
(sorry if the question is a little stupid, I'm not really a 3d wiz:)

proxy it`s like real instance but with less memory use

Ah, sounds great, I've seen the Vray renders of nature scenes and they look incredible, so much better than most Vue renders (probably bevause the veg files, plant models in Vue, don't really look that good)

thanks!

Hi there, I am just trying out the demo. In the GI settings there is a preset "unbiased", but when I choose it, the rendering stops after the "vray building light cache".
Is this another limitation of the demo?

no it preset idea, everything fine ;-)

Realtime renders have the familiar system

increase light cache subdivs
