Dear Users,

from today on we also sell the image and animation player from chaosgroup & Asynthetic called "pdplayer"

it is a lightweight animation and image view and composite tool.
the pd player plays 32 bit image sequences in real time, even with several 32bit layers.
you can real time color adjust, overlay things, view and adjust 32bit images exrs tiffs layered files etc.
all with nice drag and drop

i saw it at a recent visit from chaosgroup in vienna and was impressed.
for any who is interested can drop us an email as usual or phone us:

info[at]vrayforc4d[dot]com

normal price is 249euro netto,
but for our VRAYforC4D users we can give you for the special price of 225.-euro netto.

there is a demo of it also on the Chaosgroup / Asynthetic sites:

(attention: at the moment it is windows only sadly)

i like the pro looking GUI

ps is it also useable for stills ?
i'm trying to drop psd but it's hard to find an all round alternative

yes as i wrote pc only sadly.

i have seen the chaos team using it for all, stills, animations, image sequences, compares etc...

you just drag and drop into the dashboard. looks quite "pro" yes.
i think layered tiffs(6,16,32 bit) layered exrs, hdri, jpg, png it likes most.
best test the demo a bit....

cheers

How would this compare with the Picture Viewer in 11.5?

(Which I hope to be using soon with vray 1.2)

i think those are 2 rather different things

in picure viewer11.5 which is very nice you can play image sequences, but you cannot color correct, overlay, bend with stills etc.

also the workspace or "dashbord" of the pd player is infinite, which makes it a bit like an image and animation desktop.

so picture viewer is very very nice ram player
the pdplayer goes some steps further i think, best to look or test the demo.

i guess it is not needed for all, but can be very nice for certain workflows

cheers
