Hi,

I'm trying to spread some trees accross the terrain with surfacespread using proxies. But whenever I make a proxy of cypress using proxy creator script and hit render everything goes black. I am saying cypress cause when I use some other objects like a simple cube or even several types of fir everything works okay.
What could possibly be wrong?

Thanks for any help

Hi Tong,

yes that's from your collection.
What happens is simply put: it goes black after 10 seconds no matter if it's in editor view, picture viewer or just region....and most strange just for cypresses (I tried also some differnt types)

Thanks

p.s. I don't know how to upload pictures...Do I need to upload on different server and link it? How can I upload from my computer?[/img]

first off al, if you have problem with HQ plants, instantly send me P.M. email ,site message anything but send, how i know you have problem if you not saying about it? and yes i do support use of our plants collections, some users have troubles to use it from start....huh

ok. get to bussines ;-)

image can be uploaded here http://imageshack.us/
or sended to gantonr@gmail.com

1) Why you don`t use proxy setup from lib4d? it is already proxy solution

2) you changed mesh ?

3) you use c4d-jack proxy creating script or Vrmesh Exporter Tag and manualy make proxy objects?

4) send me file that you trying to do, only cypress with all your settings and setup to gantonr@gmail.com

5) always instantly ask if you have problems.

cheers, Tong.

check material of of thuja_05_branch_01 it seems on your pc path to it broken and it black

I still recommend to use proxy setups from lib4d file, they have lowpoly mesh fro preview in viewport, materials ready for use and it simpler, faster and easier.

did you read readme for vol.2 ? check it accroding to you OS System.

I see now that I sent you wrong file....I am sending you another one with correct cypress which still isn't working despite deleating all you mentioned...

and no, I haven't read the manual cause I think haven't got one...I am the one who 'preordered it'....I'll look to it now, thanks...

thanks for helping me out

concerning this uvw bug with proxies... isn't it easier to put "-100" in "length Y" in the attributes manager ?

Tong

yes will be better ;-) (seems to old for trick like this  )

anyway in short time frame (on monday of next one wek), vol.1 and vol.2 will be updated to fully separately use in Adnvanced Render and VrayC4D and proxy vrmeshes files without any uvw bug thats maybe, for all users who already bought any of it, update free, as always .

In next year we will provide also our plants libraries in final render, fry and maxwell formats, and as always update for thous who bought before it is free ;-)

When using zbrush for example, you often have to flip uv's, and this can be done in c4d by fliping the "Y length" (with -100 instead of 100),
so isn't this "trick" easier than changing everything in the material himtself with the layers - transform-flip ? : ;)
