I can't seem to find the thread (maybe the forum needs some thread consolidation/ cleaning up?).

Can someone link to the thread, please?

Or maybe one of the mods can just move that thread (and others like it) to this sub-forum?

The "General User" sub-forum is getting too cluttered to be able to find anything.

Makes more sense to have threads describing work flows to be in this ("resources to learn") forum, I think.

hi,
use gi IR Map + brute force thats the fastest.

render gi pass unsing "animation prepass" mode for IRMap,
(activate "dont render final imge" in vray options tab.)
set path where gi files will be saved.
this makes a series of numbered ir files

set gi to animation render, insert path to gi files(to folder where gi files are)
render

thats it basicly.
make sure to use good aa like adaptive subdivision 0/3, a filter that softens like box 0.5 or 0.75 is sometimes nice too.

cheers

I've tried but I couldn't find where to save the gi files. Whenever I choose "anim prepass" the save option is disabled.
