Proxy colour

Hi all

Sorry if this has come up already, i have searched but cant find an answer.

just testing out proxies, but my proxied trees come out a lot lighter than the original tree, am i doing something wrong? not really used proxies before so its likely i am ;)

Are you using Tongs trees? I apply a filter to the material of all my trees to adjust the control over light/dark, hue/saturation - good way of controling leaf colour without adjusting light settings. I don't know why your proxies are coming out lighter - did it do it in previous version of vray?

Thanks for the reply, they are Tongs trees, i usually do the same to control the colour a bit more, just odd this is happening, i thought maybe i was doing something silly as i have never really used proxies before, always found them quicker to not use them in previous versions on OSX, i did try them a couple of time before but i have never noticed it changing the colour.

I will have another look today.

Mine is not doing it, so something is wrong.
Do you choose the trees from the content browser dude?

I just link all my proxies to my library under the jobname, but the textures all read from the ''hq_plants_vol_1 ->materials_vray'' in the preset folder....

If there's anything u struggle with Colin, jult gimme a ring mate. No problem mate!

Am all good, work gone a little quiet again, but nice to have a break!!

i reckon i am doing something silly so i am going to have another go in a bit, i need to set up all my content browser now in 11.5 so going to spend a bit of time tidying up.

Will let you know if i need any help.

it intresting i have it, but only once, when load 1.1 file with proxy in 1.2 now i can`t reproduce it :(

but after change light setup it have gone, really strange ;-)

Ah ok, that kind of makes sense to me, off to try again, as long as i am doing something silly!! which i usually am!
