try again might be corrupted or something. even though i think 10.5 works fine with 10.111

Kevin, your tests is great and the noisy effect on the metal give it a metallic look so keep it =) imo.

Thanks a lot for the file, i really appreciate it, just one question from a new user.
Should I just be able to click render the moment I open the file or do settings need to be changed, because when I open and render this I only see black.

I checked and it is in cm.
I changed the intensity to 1000 for both the lights as a test and was able to render,
(although still much darker than the original) a visible image. I'm stumped but ill keep trying, and thanks for any help.

also make sure in AA to use dmc and reduce threshold to 0.005;-)
activate "use for glossy rays" in LC also
