I would appreciate to have possibility to turn on/off rendering of materials (not only maps) in render settings (Options tab) or assign one material to all scene like in Max version. It would be nice for lighting setup.

In the meantime, there's a cool plugin from Majoul that allows to switch to a basic white material : Mr Vue (http://perso.orange.fr/archizone/Accueil.htm)
Pretty neat. The other functions have been made obsolete by the Object Manager filters, but that material switch alone is worth gold.

Hi, I tried this plugin long time ago and I had some problems. I cannot remember precisely, but I think it was something with materials on polygons selection... I cant remember, but all materials werent turned on correctly and I stopped playing with this plugin.

I'm using it every day, so I would know if it wasn't working.
So far, I haven't have any problem, in any situation.

It seems to work fine all in all but it doesn't take MoGraph Clones in account I just found out.....

Just put a few objects under a Cloner in cluster mode.
In editor render these objects are still colored.
By toggling to "Iterate" and then back to "Cluster" it works again.
And if you are in "Iterate" with colors turned off and switch to Cluster,
turn on colors, the objects are not colored.
I can only guess it has to do with that the plugin is done before the introduction of MoGraph and have no full control over the ID's.
So while it sort of works, it is not a foolproof solution.
Atm, I use the method of having a neutral material in the MaterialManager, right-click it and use "Apply" to all selected objects.
(This way the material is placed -last- at each object)
Then I run a script to delete all those Tax tags.
So in the end there is no foolproof one-click solution for this in Cinema
and it will be a good thing to have in Vray.

Here you can try.
>MographMrVueCheck< (http://www.tcastudios.com/tempfiles/mrvue.c4d.zip)
You should get three objects under a MoGraph Cloner in Cluster Mode.
Using MrVue, these three objects are still colored when rendering in the editor view.

Ah yes, MrVue hasn't been updated since Mograph came out.
The thing it does is write a specific name under the "selection" link of each texture tag and store the old selection names (or lack of) for the switch afterward.
So in the case of a cloner object, I don't know if there's anything that could be applied to.
