Xpresso controlled Studio Setup

Hi everyone !

Well, i don't know if this is "a cool thing for vray", but i would like to share with you this little setup i made. Still has some problems but it mainly works.. :) Any comment (or help solving issues) as always is much appreciated.

Really nice :)
Juste one thing :
the Adaptative amount of the DMC sampler (general preferences of vray) is set to 1, so render remains grainy even with high shadows or glossiness reflection values ;)

huv: yes that's on purpose, should be there 3 saved render settings, the one for tests has very low values and its fully adaptive to be faster (the AA is also set very low), the other settings have more accurate values. Of course you can use your own settings !

Just had a quick look at it but what i see so far looks very nice. I think i'll need to get a car in there and render some of those glossy shots again.

Looks Like a great tool, but I have a little problem - maybe it's because I'm running on C4d 10.5 ?

the menu is with no folders, and I have no preset number to choose from...
Anyone else has this problem ?

btw, it is working, just don't have the presets and the menu is with no folders - but it works...

You may want to try this: with MAIN CONTROLS selected, go in User Data menu -> Manage User Data and change the type of preset.number from Integer to Integer slider.
Don't know if it works but it should bring the list menu back.

hi,

i just noticed all the expresso functions are broken in R12 - i.e changes to the User Data interface have no effect on the scene

it works fine in 11.5

bit of a beginner at Xpresso but i have checked all the wiring in the Xpresso tags, all of which seems OK to me. I also tried deleting some of the functions and setting them up again (exactly as before) but these also did not work

does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? a change between 11.5 and 12?
