Thanks alot Mr. Braun, excellent!
I havn't done the tut yet just read it.
Since the result will be a quadratic qtvr I have a question
in order to make a widescreen format:

How would I set this up so that no seams/ overlappings occur?
Can I just adjust the resolution and what about the camera settings,
does it work with box cam then?

Thanks for your reply.

i think you should do the same quadratic and then set the initial resolution of the vr file to a panoramic shape ;) the panoramic shape is not related with the world but with the way the viewer sees it ...

I export the VR from PanoVR and I just cannot get the VR working. The output is totally black.

It works well with the jpg output but the render output without vray physical cam is more brighter so I only lowered the bright multiplier factor from 1 to 0.5. The result is good when you don´t use vray physical cam.
The resolution is not very good yet but this is a test.

hmmm, its a pity the physical camera won't work with the Box camera. I often sell still images together with QTVR pano's of the same scene. I will need to finetune the lighting again for the QTVR file.
The workflow is fine however. But I use the CubicConverter application on the mac instead. I need to clip the partial frames from the boxcamera output and then compose them again, but it works ok.

I must be doing something wrong.
I've followed the tutorial right up to the point of dragging the QTVR cross image into the relevant window in pano2vr and it looks like this:

http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/403/screen1ln8.jpg

Select Input is set to Auto but when I create the Quicktime movie I still get the four black areas to the edge of the image. My format type is currently set to Equirectangular. Is that right? Everyone else seems to have had some success but somehow I've missed something. If anyone could help it would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone have any ideas? This is frustrating the hell out of me.

Just wondering would rendering the scene out using 360 degree
Spherical camera and saving the output to QTVR file not
Give you the same result with less hassle. Perhaps I'm missing
Something!

Let me know

Yes, You're right. At the time Mr. Braun posted this tutorial the 360 degree spherical camera was not useful because one couldn't overwrite the FOV. It was restricted to the FOV of the builtin C4D camera which allowed just less than 180 degree. I'm not shure if You can output a VRAY rendered 360 spherical image to a QTVR in C4D but there are many applications around to do this.

Hello i need some help.

I try to render out a QTVR Object out of Cinema4D. With the C4D internal render nothing easier like that. But with the VRAY Plugin its not working.

Cinema always crashes...

Have anybode experience outputting an Object with the vray plugin?

Thx for your Help

just take a look in the list.

but i don-t know how to assemble the images, it would be nice to ear a second opinion ;)

thx for your fast answer! this expression is quiet easy to handle! thank youu very mutch...

but is there any QtVR freeware app who can handle these images to a working QtVR?

Well,

I 'm an enthousiast user of Quicktime VR.
Since i've got my new mac 2,26x8ghz Nehalem with 32Mo Ram, i could work on scene with a lot of details and... reflections on architectural glass.

Here is an exemple of a cross 4500 x 6000, 2 hours rendering (I made a 22hours one with the "very high quality" and differences were difficult to find ).

Hope you 'll find this useful.
