vray 1.2 on cinema 4d R11,5 "Demo"

could you tell me, if I'm using a "demo" version of cinema, could I use vray1.2 and will it work?

vray 1.2 works on c4d 1.5 yes,
if you buy you get the newest vray 1.2 version that runs with cinema4d 11.5 and has fastSSS" among other new features

the demo 1.2.1 should be ready in a few days....(i guess short after easter weekend)
i will post as soon as available. it will have also the vray dirt shader added:-)

as 1.2.1 is almost ready, and as we had to close a security hole in the old demo system, the demo will be released along with the 1.2.1 version.

i wait myself every day, we know many want a demo, to have all finished. on some few points we wait on an info from vlado to finalize one of the features we add in 1.2.1

i understand you wait, but at the same time the 2 things above are very important to us., specially the security issue(against some mis-use that happened) in the old demo has to be solved before we can release a 1.2 demo.

Stefan, plz cans you leave sss & proxies feature in demo - to test it (and compare to other renderers)?... Cause without it (and AO may be too....) this new demo will be the same as 1.1 demo... thnks.

SSS2 as part of the advanced material is in the demo(can do the same as the exra SSS2 material), the 2 sided material and the extra standalone sss2 will not be in the demo that can save. dirt shader (super fast AO is also in)

(vray1.2demo would not the same as 1.1 at all, also if those parts would be not in by the way. many many more changed- alsmost all parts are new).

we will try however provide a possibility to use the full version inside the maxon demo, for those who want to see the power of the 2 sided material.

daniele have found sadly one error in last new 1.2.1 sdk, which need need vlado to fix, he is on fmx in Stuttgart at the moment, so we will get this next week i guess.

Where can I get the Demo of Vray for C4D that will work on Cinema 4D 11.5. I was working on a tutorial and I've had to stop half way because I don't have this piece of kit.

you can still use the old demo with 11, it is not time limited;-)

a demo 1.2.1 will come, see also my post in demo forum.
when ready will be available from us, with some changed security.

Where can I download the one compatible with 11.5. Do you have a link? I installed a demo and it didnt come up in C4D... DO u have a link

the demo at the moment is only vrayforc4d 1.1.for c4d v11.0

the demo is not meant for work usage anyway, only for demo purpose.

as you said you worked in between, you had c4d 1 short ago.... if you want to evaluate vray use this please for now.
work is only possible in a full version.
